Hotels / Hospitality
Hotel owners must update older properties to compete with newer properties, as well as to accommodate flag and management changes. While many hotels initially utilized energy, water, and recycling programs as a strategy to increase market share, hotel design leaders Gensler Architects recently noted that a survey of sustainable upgrades showed:
- Lower lighting power density reduces energy costs an average of 37%
- Variable-primary-low HVAC systems provide average savings of 26%
These statistics are compelling. A recent article quoted NYC-based hotel valuation firm Integra Realty Resources, as saying that those measures must have a pay-back of 3 years or less to make sense. ReGreen is implementing significant cost-saving measures at hotel properties now that require $0 in investment cost, and others that can take as little as 6 months pay-back. The most popular green measures are those that reduce operational costs, such as:
- efficient lighting and HVAC
- low flow water fixtures and
- solar equipment
ReGreen has provided both energy and water efficiency upgrades for dozens of hotel customers ranging from
- small local hotels and motels
- boutique resort properties
- both multi- and single-property services for large flag chains
- luxury hotels catering to both business and vacation travelers
We understand the importance of remaining “invisible” to guests, providing seamless services that do not interfere with the guest experience and provide maximum key availability for the property.
